This is an experienced Agile BA role. We have a developing agile capability that’s looking to take things to the next level so this is an opportunity to bring your experience and ideas to help us level up!

This role will be required to work with internal teams as well as partners and vendors to ensure consistency and quality of delivery.

Location of role: Based at AIA Head Office – 509 St Kilda Road, Melbourne 3004 and may include a small bit of travel to Sydney.

This is the kind of people we are looking for:

  • You will be a mid to senior level BA, who has worked on several agile projects over the past 4-8 years. 
  • You are quick off the mark, and you have the skills and tools that enable your fast learning. 
  • You understand that interacting with people is one of the biggest parts of your day, and you build good relationships easily, with people in varying levels of seniority and functions.
  • You have excellent communications skills, we need you to be able to communicate both written and verbally with all personality types and different roles.
  • You are successful in building strong partnerships between the delivery teams and the Business stakeholders.

We would also like you to have:

  • Facilitating the business discussion to create a clear articulation of the product vision, the expected value for business and customer, and to produce the product definition.
  • Demonstrable experience in decomposing a product definition into a backlog of Epics and User Stories. Being able to translate a product definition into stories that a team can estimate for and derive a good understanding of how to build.
  • A thorough understanding of Agile and the Scrum approach to achieving agility. Good experience with the Sprint planning, Retrospective, Backlog Refinement and Sprint demonstration ceremonies.
  • Working with a Product Owners (with varying degrees of Agile experience), a Scrum Master/Iteration Manager, and understanding what is that healthy sharing of responsibilities between these roles.
  • You have a great understanding of software development lifecycle from concept through to final implementation.
  • You have an in depth knowledge of one or more Agile frameworks as acquired through formal certification and practical experience.
  • Industry and Agile qualifications.
